The Warren County Disability Resource Fair, hosted by the Warren County Advisory Council on Disabilities and co-sponsored by DAWN Center for Independent Living and Abilities of Northwest NJ, Inc., will take place on May 11, 2017, from 2 to 6 p.m. at Abilities of NWJ, 264 Route 31 North, Washington. Families, students, educators and caregivers are invited to attend to learn about the resources in the area including vocational and job training opportunities, disability benefits and estate planning, adult services, housing, recreation, higher education opportunities and more. Learning sessions will begin at 5 p.m. Cheri Thompson, NJ DVRS, will present an overview of transition services and Title IV of the Workforce Innovations and Opportunities Act which details funding toward pre-employment transition services for youth with disabilities.
