Beyond Group Homes: Creative Housing Options

This presentation will provide an overview of housing options offered by the Division of
Developmental Disabilities, how to access them, and innovative housing supports beyond
traditional group homes and supervised apartments. Participants will learn about options for
funding residential services- including the vital role of Medicaid, how to safeguard services for
your child, and how to avoid common pitfalls in working with state agencies to obtain effective
out-of-home residential services. Caregivers will be able to ask questions at the end of the
presentation.
