Donation by The Friendly Sons of St. Patrick (FSSP) of Morris County

The Friendly Sons of St. Patrick (FSSP) of Morris County, NJ, recently presented a donation check to DAWN Center of Independent Living at its main office at 66 Ford Road, Suite 121, in Denville. The FFSP is a non-political and non-sectarian social organization dedicated to supporting events and charities that contribute to the greater good of the community. Holiday Gala 2019

On December 7th consumers and their families enjoyed a great time at our Holiday Gala. Once again, DAWNcil partnered with Holiday Express who supplied the food, live entertainment, and prizes. A big “thank you” to Holiday Express for yet another memorable event!

Annual Meeting 2019

DAWNcill held its Annual Membership Meeting on November 20, 2019, at Trinity House in Hackettstown. The evening’s agenda included a buffet dinner, induction of new board members and reappointments of existing board members, the Year in Review, and award presentations.

DAWN’s Annual Picnic 2019

DAWN Center for Independent Living held its annual picnic in September at Hedden Park in Randolph. DAWNcil members, consumers, their families, and others enjoyed a day of filled with food, fun, and many activities.

DAWN’s Annual Family Fun Day & Disability Resource Fair

DAWN held its annual Family Fun Day & Disability Resource Fair on June 2, 2019. A large crowd attended the event, which offered a variety of free activities, including turtle races, Zumba, a Bubble Dance Contest, face painting, games, prizes and more.

DAWN’s 8th bi-annual tricky tray event

DAWN’s 8th bi-annual tricky tray event to benefit Franki’s Fund was held on Sunday, May 5,2019, at Zeris Inn, Mountain Lakes. Proceeds benefit the Franki’s Fund Program which offers young adults with special needs, ages 14 to 25, an opportunity to explore artistic and vocational pursuits to help enrich their lives and expand their horizons.

Distinguished Service Award 2019

DAWN’s Executive Director Carmela Slivinski recently was awarded the Distinguished Service Award for 2019 by the Sussex County Council of Service Agencies.
